Pictures from Almhaug and Stange Church
on Christmas 2003

Preparations on the day before ("Lillejulaften" - the "Small Christmas Eve" - Dec.23). NK has got the tree inside ready for lights, flags and other decorations.

In the kitchen Gunvor is preparing the last Christmas cakes. Bryndis is hoping for something to fall down.

Our church is not far away. NK stopped to take some daylight photos when passing about mid day on the 24th.

The church is from about the year 1200 and is made of stone. The tower is of wood.

It is a nice church, Stange Kirke.

Looking from the churchyard southwards is the road home. You see the farm behind the big tree? ...

... The same farm seen from our entrance now looking north. You see the top of the church tower behind the barn.

Almhaug, our home, where the birds got some extra for Christmas as well.

At 4 p.m. church service starts. When it ends at 5 p.m. the bells will ring marking the beginning of the Christmas Eve - "Julaften" or "Julekvelden".

The Altar

and the Pulpit.

Some children has made a Christmas decoration.

When the service ends it is dark outside.

But at home all lights are on.

Enjoying Chistmas dinner...

... and coffee.
