Vancouver Island - Getting there

| After passing the border itself we finally got to the passport inspection. Not being Canadiens or Americans we also had to stop at the Customs Office, the building you see to the left. |

| At Tsawwassen right south of Vancouver City we turned west. The road apparetly went "right into the see" but then we reached the waiting line for the Duke Point ferry. |

| Not being the tourist season yet we had no problems getting on the first ferry. |

| Getting closer to Vancouver Island. Across the Strait of Georgia from Tsawwassen to Nanaimo the ferry used two hours. |

| From Duke Point we drove north-west. The left picture shows a sideroad to downtown Nanaimo (where we did not go). The right picture is taken at the sideroad to Qualicum Beach looking back towards the highway intersection. |

| Finally we got to downtown Qualicum Beach... |

| ... and right outside the center of town we found the house of Tulla and Ole. |
